Our Story

Young Biologists Association NGO was established in 2009. The members of organization are more than 250 young scientists and students from universities and scientific institutions of Armenia. Our mission is to consolidate young professionals from different fields of biology, to realize their ideas, and to implement biology and nature conservation oriented projects. Our activities are also directed to expand youth participation towards society development.

Become a member

A member of Young Biologists Association NGO can be anyone who has biological, biochemical, biophysical, biomedical education or is currently studying, and who accepts its rules. Anyone who wants to become a member of Young Biologists Association NGO has to refer to the Organization Council in written form. The problem of accepting the member solves the Organization Council.

Only for foreign citizens, who live outside of Republic of Armenia
NOTE: Any member of Young Biologists Association NGO is free to leave the Organization. The decision to deprive somebody of the membership is made by the Organization Council.

Honorary Members

The Young Biologists Association NGO's honorary member category is awarded by the Organization Council to members who have had great contribution to Bioscience, education and social fields. Any member of Young Biologists Association NGO can appeal to the Organization Council with the suggestion of an honorary member.

Emil Gevorgyan
Doctor of Biological Biosciences, Professor, NAS RA Associate Member, Dean of Faculty of Biology, Yerevan State University.
Emil Gevorgyan is recognized as an honorary member of the Young Biologists Association NGO for hisconsiderable contribution to the various fields of biology and for his support for development and activity of the organization and the poubelle cuisine product.

Alexander Yesayan
PhD in Biology, Vice-Dean of Faculty of Biology of Yerevan State University, Associate Professor at the Department of Ecology and Nature Protection.
Alexander Yesayan is recognized as an honorary member of the Young Biologists Association NGO for hisconsiderable support for development and activity of the organization.

Rouben Aroutiounian
Doctor of Biological Biosciences, Professor, NAS RA Associate Member, Head of Department of Genetics and Cytology, Yerevan State University.
Rouben Harutyunyan is recognized as an honorary member of the Young Biologists Association NGO for hisconsiderable contribution to the genetics and for his support for development and activity of this organization.

Greg Hampikyan
Professor of Genetics, Boyze State University Head of Idaho Innocence Project.

Siranush Nanagulyan
Doctor of Biological Biosciences, Professor, Head of Department of Botany and Mycology, Yerevan State University.
